The German Goethe Institute Library was opened on 5. 11. 1998.
The German Goethe Institute Library, together with the English and Austrian
Libraries, is part of the Foreign Libraries Department of the Education and
Research Library of the Pilsener Region. The Goethe Institute participated in
the founding of the library and provided the initial book collection, which it
loaned long-term to the Education and Research Library of the Pilsener Region.
The German Library is an independent workstation of the Education and Research
Library of the Pilsener Region. It is possible to search the entire German
Library book collection via the online
electronic catalogue and all services are according to the SVK PK Library Regulations.
Library membership cards are applied for and issued in the entrance hall of the
SVK PK building, Smetanovy sady 2, opening
times.
Representation of the Bavaria Bohemia Centre in the German Library, Pilsen:
Václav Vrbík M.A., a representative of the Pilsener Region in CeBB in Schönsee, will be in the German Library in Pilsen every Monday afternoon.
