The German Goethe Institute Library was opened on 6. 11. 1995.
The Austrian Library, together with the English and German Goethe Institute Libraries, is part of the Foreign Libraries Department of the Education and Research Library of the Pilsener Region. The Austrian Library is an independent workstation of the Education and Research Library of the Pilsener Region. It is possible to search the entire Austrian Library book collection via the online electronic catalogue and all services are according to the SVK PK Library Regulations. The Austrian Library book collection is continuously supplemented by the Ministry for European and International Affairs in Vienna (Bundesministerium für europäische und internationale Angelegenheiten).
Library membership cards are applied for and issued in the entrance hall of the SVK PK building, Smetanovy sady 2, Mon-Fri: 8.00am-7.00pm.
