Document ordering

Documents, except those on open shelves, may be ordered online via the electronic catalogue on the SVK PK website or, if you have any problems with the online system, you can order documents at one of four self-service workstations near the loans desk or at other self-service workstations located in the study and open shelves areas. If you have any problems with the online ordering system, please ask your librarian. If you found the document in the card catalogue only, please order the document at the loans desk.

Document reservation

If the required document is momentarily loaned to another reader (this also applies to loaned open shelves documents), your order is registered as a reservation with a validity of 2 years:

• reservation with a requested summons – for a small fee as per the SVK PK pricelist , you can be informed that your requested document is ready to be collected; it will be held for the duration of 8 days and will be blocked from being loaned to any other reader. If you provide an e-mail address, the summons will be sent to you via email free of charge.
• reservation without summons – for frequent visitors, documents are blocked from being loaned for 8 days (no fee).

Document dispatch

• from the Bory depository – if the document is ordered between 8am and 1pm, the document will be ready at 2pm the same day; if the document is ordered after 1pm, it will be ready the following morning.
• from the Bušovice depository is as per the time schedule which is available at the loans desk each week.
