• in-house loans from the reference library, publications are available on open shelves, documents stored near the service desk will be given out upon request
• in-house loans of printed documents from the library collection (see User Aids)
• in-house study of the printed collection of valid Czech technical norms published before 31.12.2005
• access to databases of valid Czech technical norms in PDF format ČSN Online
• acceptance of requests for the in-house study of historical collections in the research study room
• the recording of individual visits to the research study room
• in-house loans on the basis of special requirements
• photocopying up to 10 pages via self-service; larger jobs, including A3 format, are done in the reprographic workshop
• wireless internet (WiFi) is according to regulations stated in Article 12 of the Library Regulations.

Information about WiFi technical parameters in the general study room: personal mobile device (notebook, PDA etc) with HW satisfying norms IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g; IP configuration is obtained from the DHCP server; SSID: SVKPL; speed is dependent on IEEE version – 802.11b allows 11 Mb/s or IEEE – 820.11g allows 54 Mb/s; only http and https protocols are allowed; communication is not encrypted; two WiFi adapters, one for USB and one for a PCMCIA card, are available.

• the reference library contains approximately 5 400 packs of basic literature from all areas of knowledge including Czech and foreign general and technical encyclopedias, bibliographies, educational and language dictionaries.

• Electronic magazines – for access to fulltext articles from titles marked yellow, it is necessary to use the list on computers within the library network
• Electronic magazines – Uniform Information Gateway service – for access to fulltext licensed articles, it is necessary to use the list on computers within the library network
• List of prepaid foreign magazines with online versions in 2012 – Clinical Pediatrics  – for access to fulltext articles, it is necessary to use the list on computers within the library network
