is done via readers’ catalogues. Required literature can be found:

• in card catalogues (name, subject, systematic) created in the years 1950–1997; the name catalogue is also available in scanned format
• in the electronic catalogue (documents entered into the library holdings from 1991 and additional electronically processed documents, more than half of the library holdings) on http://aleph.svkpl.cz – this catalogue allows online ordering
• in the museum catalogue (created in the years 1907–1952), the name catalogue is available in scanned format on http://katif.svkpl.cz, the card version of the catalogue is located in the internet study room on the ground floor of the building
• in the open shelves section of the library, you can search the shelves according to subject (Universal Classification System) or alphabetically according to the name of the author (in the fiction section)

All readers’ catalogues are accessible within the main library building. While searching the card catalogues, please write down the precise call numbers (the code in the top right corner of the card) of required documents for future orders.
